There are plenty of places to stay in Jackson Hole but some options offer a distinct advantage. When you’re planning a ski trip, variables like the weather and snow conditions are always up to Ullr but where you lay your head is a strategic decision. From quaint condos to modern mansions, Jackson Hole Resort Lodging (JHRL) has options for every vibe and budget that will keep you close to the goods.Â
Downtown Jackson vs. Teton Village
What newcomers may not know about the town of Jackson, Wyoming and the base area of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, better known as Teton Village, is that they sit about 14 miles apart. That’s about a 20-minute drive on a good day but when you add furious winter storms and the anxious skier energy to Highway 22 and Moose-Wilson Road, those few miles can turn into a slow and frustrating traffic jam. JHRL offers slopeside and easily walkable lodging options, for any budget, that give you an early-bird advantage. You can skip the highway frenzy, not give a single thought to parking and walk directly to the tram dock.

What’s so great about Teton Village?
Everything in “the Village” is walkable—from early morning coffee, to après hangs and late-night shenanigans, you’ve got plenty of options. While town dwellers are wasting time in the car, you can stroll to the window of Overview Coffee and snag a cup of ambition before sauntering to the tram line to solidify first tracks.Â
Once you’ve lapped the resort until your dogs are barking, it’s time to slide down to Tram Dock for a stack of nachos and cold bevvies under the afternoon sun. You might just find a DJ spinning tunes and if it happens to turn into a full-on dance party, that’s okay because you’ve got nowhere to be.
Does Teton Village have any nightlife?
After you’ve sauntered home for a quick nap and a shower, it’s time to ramp it back up for the night with dinner options like the infamous Teton Thai, if you’re feeling spicy, or Il Villagio Osteria for elegant Mediterranean dishes. The Mangy Moose offers classic bar food like pizza, burgers and tacos as well as live music and a bit more of a debaucherous energy. If you’re looking for something a little more sophisticated, the Spur Bar at Teton Mountain Lodge offers an extensive cocktail and wine list. When all is said and done, nothing caps off the night quite like a hot tub soak. When you stay with JHRL, luxury amenities of the like come with just about every private rental residence. No poaching necessary.Â

How do I get to and from Teton Village?Â
With such convenient access from the Jackson Airport and the town itself, there’s really no need to rent a car when you fly and stay in the Village. Even if you’re driving in from out of state, once you park your car you can lose the keys for the week. From breakfast to the last beer of the night, and all the skiing in between, Teton Village makes it hard to find a reason to leave. Even when the Cowboy Bar beckons you to town, you have public and private transportation options to get you to and from, whether you prefer the town bus or a private cab.Â
What kind of accommodations does Jackson Hole Resort Lodging offer?
If you prefer to feel like you just swapped your apartment for a slopeside home, JHRL has something for every vibe and every budget, right in Teton Village. From six-bedroom ski-in/ski-out homes to cozy condos, Jackson Hole Resort Lodging offers a wide array of vacation rentals for big groups and families as well as couples and solo travelers. For some, the ideal vacation rental may look like a never-ending party house and for others it’s a quiet weekend away from everything. The beauty is, that’s for you to decide. Â
Let’s be honest, most of us are usually looking for a way to cut down on ski trip expenses and one of the easiest ways to do that is to split one lodging bill amongst your crew. The nightly rate of a rental home or condo might look steep compared to a hotel room but you can only fit a few people in each room and then you’re constantly jumping floors to link up with your friends.Â

Is it Expensive to Stay in the Village?Â
JHRL condos and homes come with multiple bedrooms, shared living spaces, plus private luxuries like hot tubs and fully stocked kitchens. Yet another option to save money by making breakfast and lunch at home then walking down to the Village for dinner. And although you may not be staying in a hotel, booking through JHRL means you get the same top-tier customer service as you’d expect from a slopeside lodge, including things like hot tub maintenance and snow removal.Â
To take the savings a step further, JHMR offers the Golden Ticket deal during select dates throughout the season. The Golden Ticket gives skiers with a season pass anywhere else in the world, including Epic, Ikon and Mountain Collective passes, 50% off lift tickets and 30% off lodging deals. If a ski trip to Jackson has always felt financially out of reach, JHMR and JHRL have all the options to help make a dream trip come true for you. Jackson Hole is a skier’s mountain that also happens to have luxury lodging and amenities, but there are plenty of ways to ball out on a budget in Teton Village.Â
