A volcano has erupted near Nevados de Chillán, a ski resort on the eastern side of Chile, near Argentina.
Volcano Discovery reports that the volcano has been active since July, and that ash rose several hundred meters, but there appears to be no immediate threat to nearby skiers and the resort is still running its lifts full-speed. Volcano Discovery also reports that these eruptions are not uncommon, but this is a wild sight nonetheless.
