Location: Louisville, CO

Employment: Full-time, 40 hours per week, In-person (remote not considered)

Compensation: $20-$24/hour

The Role

We are on the hunt for a creative and motivated Associate Editor - Digital & Social to help shape the voice of FREESKIER across digital and social platforms. This person will be deeply embedded in the culture—writing stories, editing contributor work and crafting scroll-stopping posts that speak to skiers everywhere.

You’ll be equally comfortable writing a long-form athlete feature as you are editing a reel, curating the perfect photo caption or drafting a punchy newsletter intro. You’ll collaborate closely with our small, fast-moving editorial team to keep our website, social channels and e-newsletters fresh, funny and fully tuned.

Key Responsibilities

Write, edit, and publish stories for Freeskier.com
Assist in managing and growing FREESKIER’s social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
Create engaging social content—reels, captions and community replies that reflect the humor and authenticity of ski culture.
Pitch and produce editorial posts, athlete interviews, gear stories and trip reports.
Support digital campaigns, including brand partnerships and native content programs.
Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and contributors to bring stories to life across all channels.
Track performance metrics and identify what content resonates with our audience.

You Are

A storyteller first—strong writer and sharp editor with a fluency in ski lingo.
Deeply connected to skiing culture, with a pulse on trends, athletes, and destinations.
A self-starter who thrives in creative chaos and small-team environments.
Comfortable with CMS platforms, social tools and basic photo/video editing.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple deadlines.
