Terrain parks are a big deal at Aspen/Snowmass. Between Snowmass and Buttermilk, the eight terrain parks and four halfpipes have all you need. Snowmass"β„’ medium-sized features are perfect for intermediates, while the Snow ParkTech-designed expert park and 22-foot superpipe are nothing to scoff at. But the real jewel of Aspen/Snowmass"β„’ park system is the Buttermilk Park at, you guessed it, Buttermilk.

How good is it? A little event called the Winter X Games will celebrate its ninth year at Buttermilk this January. Home to the massive, Olympic-sized X Games superpipe and ever-changing slopestyle course, this is the kind of place where you shouldn"β„’t surprised to find yourself riding with X Games or Olympic medalists on any given day.

The impressive lineage of local heroes, like Steele Spence, Peter Olenick and Matt Walker, shows Aspen/Snowmass"β„’ long-term dedication to park and pipe. Whether you"β„’re training for the X Games, Aspen/Snowmass Open or learning how to slide a rail, the parks "” like Aspen/Snowmass as a whole "” cater to all needs.
