As the Southern Hemisphere receives record storms, we in the Northern Hemisphere still have a few months until we're back skiing. But hope is on the horizon! Mammoth Mountain, California, has announced its anticipated opening day for the 2026/27 season, and it might be closer than you think.
The ski area is again looking to be one of the earliest in the country to open, aiming to start spinning lifts on November 13, 2026. Though the winter was lackluster by typical Sierra standards, Mammoth concluded its 2025/26 season with nearly 300 inches of snow. Still, the Mammoth faithful will be itching for a promising winter.
To celebrate a new season around the corner, Mammoth is offering the Quad Pack + through July 27, which lets you ride for $100 a day. You'll save 60% on four days of riding, with no blackout dates, 25% off lodging and 30% off reload days on your pass. That's an absolute steal of a deal.
The resort was able to extend its ski season this year thanks to a cold and snowy spring, leading to 199 days of riding. The Unbound park always hosts one of the best spring scenes in skiing, and this year was no exception. Dial in your travel plans now, because winter will be here before you know it.
