Go couloir hunting with Cody Townsend and company in Nevada's backcountry

November 9, 2016

Cody Townsend is no stranger to couloirs. The California-based skier is constantly hunting new objectives in the backcountry—coming away with incredible photos, footage and stories every time. His run down “The Crack” in particular broke the internet in 2014, garnering millions of views and serious props from skiers around the globe.

Now, he’s back for more couloir hunting—alongside his wife Elyse Saugstad and skiing companion Josh Daiek—with an in-depth video showcasing a wild journey from Nevada’s Ruby Mountains last season. The crew kicks off their mission by shredding the famed “Terminal Cancer Coulouir,” then Townsend and Daiek carry on deeper, searching for more challenges.
