Colorado Powder Forecast for week of April 14
HIGHLIGHTS
Warm & dry to start the weekend
Snow begins Saturday night
Flakes last through next week
Battling sun burn one day, and skiing soft freshies the next. Yup, that's April in Colorado, and it's not disappointing this year.
After a warm couple of days, snow returned last night and today with a vengeance (12 inches at Abasin overnight!). While the flakes will leave the state late this afternoon and sun will return for Friday and Saturday, more powder days are in store.
A snowy sequence will blanket Colorado from Saturday night through the end of next week. Forecasting the details of the next few snow storms is nearly impossible at this point, but it does look like there will be a few back-to-back days with fresh powder. Since next week is the last week to ride lift-accessed terrain (except for Abasin and Loveland), I'd create some flexible plans so you can take advantage of the last offerings of winter.
