Crazy Karl Fostvedt takes no time off. Even when he says he's going to hang back and take five for a year, he just can't help himself. Our favorite Idaho sled skiing, pillow bashing, smile wearing, freeskier is back with another installment of "Brap Ski," and we couldn't be more stoked.

Fostvedt has long been a pillar of the freeski community, stacking clips and soaking up sage wisdom from all corners of the ski world. There are few people out there who are as comfortable shooting a street segment as they are on the towering peaks of Alaska, but Fostvedt is one of them.

An ode to life on the highway, "Brap Ski 5" takes us through a four-month road trip across the North American West in search of pow, pillows and spines. With the help of a few good friends, Fostvedt picks through a sample of hidden zones that make us want to hop on the wagon and discover our own slice of powder paradise. It's a solid reminder that sometimes you don't have to traverse the globe to find a wild and amazing ski adventure; it might just be waiting a few hours down the road.
