Over a foot of snow expected for mountains in the Northern Rockies Wednesday night

According to the National Weather Service, a winter storm warning has been issued for parts of the Northern Rockies, and will be in effect from 9 a.m. Wednesday until 12 p.m. on Thursday. For Southwest Montana, elevations above 5,500 feet, including Bridger Bowl, could expect accumulations of 6 to 12 inches and 12 to 24 inches above 7,000 feet; for Northwest Wyoming, elevations above 6,000 feet, including Jackson Hole, could see anywhere from 3 to 12 inches; for South-Central Idaho, elevations above 6,000 feet, including Sun Valley, could see 4 to 10 inches of the white stuff.
