Mammoth Mountain Anounces Another Season Extension to June 7

Cool temperatures and snow in the forecast are keeping the lifts spinning at Mammoth Mountain at least through Sunday, June 7 from 7:30 am to 1 pm daily.

Although it was a lackluster winter for everyone on the western half of the country, Mammoth Mountain has been able to hold on to the ski season far better than most this spring. Multiple late-spring storm cycles have given the California ski area worthwhile resets, enabling multiple season extensions this month. Mammoth's initial closing date of Memorial Day was extended to May 31 and now the resort is staying open at least another week, until June 7, with plans to operate as late as possible. Cool temperatures and snow in the forecast may even help the ski area extend into the middle of June—only time will tell.

The best part about spring skiing at Mammoth Mountain is the ability to have a multisport day. Whether you like to mountain bike, rock climb or even golf, Mammoth has access to all of the other outdoor activities we love to do after a morning of corn harvesting. Broadway Express, Face Lift Express and Chair 23 are in daily operation for skiing and Mammoth's Bike Park is now officially open for the summer—weather permitting.
