The Matchstick Productions (MSP) crew had a busy winter, but you already knew that. We saw athletes posting clips and frames from far and wide, making us all the more curious as to what the final product would look like this fall. Recently, we've been given a few more clues.
Two clips have been posted to the MSP Instagram with #2026SkiMovie, giving us plenty of room to speculate. After reaching out to MSP, FREESKIER can confirm that these clips are indeed from winter 2025/26, and will be featured in the upcoming film dropping this fall.
First up, we've got this juicy line from none other than the Pride of Nelson, BC, Sam Kuch. "[Kuch] returns for the #2026skifilm. Just another day at the office," the MSP post reads. Kuch is arguably the most well-respected skier on the planet right now. His uncompromising style makes huge lines look like fun, surfable mini golf. But don't be fooled, everything Kuch lays tracks on is massive.
No funny business here, just straight fall-line skiing with a precise transfer and proper stomp mixed in. Kuch's ability to read the mountains is second to none. Where most would see a few turns, he sees opportunity for more. And even without any big tricks, this line still satisfies even the pickiest of ski connoisseurs. Less is more, as they say... unless you're talking about Sam Kuch segments, in which case we'll take as many as we can get.
Second, we get to watch Marcus Goguen do what he does best. Known for his accomplishments on the Freeride World Tour (2025 Men's Ski Champion), Goguen has been stepping into the film world the last two seasons. Who could possibly complain about that?
Here, his natural cork seven is on display. It's a trick that has become somewhat of a staple of his, and to be fair, you'd be hard-pressed when it comes to finding anyone else boosting a cork 7 as large as Goguen off natural features. A shifty later on completes the line; the cherry on top.
Expect to see Sam Kuch, Karl Fostvedt, Craig Murray, Tonje Kvivik, Manon Loschi, Logan Pehota, Finn Bilous, Hoji, Mark Abma, Xander Guldman, MSP rookie Lucy Leish, and many more on the big screen this fall!
