There are only good times aboard Manu Fombeurre’s refurbished 1966 Mercedes-Benz school bus named “La Chanchita.” Always on the move, Fombeurre, a French ex-pat now calling South America home, met up with Faction Skis’ resident filmmaker Etienne Mérel and skiers Stephane Guigné, Sophie Boyle and Nathan Beriot this spring for a jaunt around Patagonia. In the video above, get a glimpse of the group’s nomadic lifestyle, calling the bus home as they search for untouched fields of snow. Sleeping five people comfortably and boasting a kitchen, toilet, shower, wood stove and electricity, La Chanchita seems like the ideal vessel of land-based ski exploration.
