Neither option is bad, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but what about those who want someting more in-between? This week, we're teaming up with Tourism Golden to offer you an all-expenses-paid trip to Golden, British Columbia in Canada, where you'll spend five days waking up at the base of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort .

With a population of 8,000, Golden has that authentic small-town ski charm, with streets filled with locally owned businesses adjacent to a resort famed for its advanced terrain. Kicking Horse Mountain Resort has 3,400 skiable acres, with 60 percent of that terrain catered to advanced and expert skiers. The approximate value of the prize package is a whopping $10,000 CAD; covering transportation, accommodations, activities, dining and souvenirs. Contestants must be truthful on their application and answer all skill-related questions accurately, as the mountain is advanced and the prize includes one day of heli-skiing.

If you and your partner in crime are the lucky winners, the trip must be booked by December 10, 2026, between the eligible dates of January 4 and March 31, 2027. The draw is open to residents in Canada (excl. Quebec), the U.S. (excl. New York, Washington State and Florida) and the U.K.

Transportation and Accommodations

The prize includes up to $2,000 CAD in total reimbursement for round-trip flights to Calgary International Airport, the best place to fly into to reach Golden, B.C. Once you arrive at the airport, the Champagne Powder Shuttle provides round-trip service between Calgary and Golden. You’ll be welcomed to Canada on the drive, with stunning views of the mountains in Banff National Park and then cross over into British Columbia. From there, you’ll be dropped off in the town of Golden, then hop on the Golden-Kicking Horse Connector shuttle with two complimentary tickets to travel between the town and the resort, as the hotel is located at the base of the mountain. For five nights, you’ll find it easy to make yourself at home in the Copper Horse Lodge .
