Mat Duf and Xavier Mayrand Persevere in "Seasons"

Over the last several years, Mat Dufresne and Xavier Mayrand have built themselves into a dynamic skier/filmer duo. The pair of French-Canadians have unveiled three triumphant films in "MTL," "MTL 2" and "Word to the Wise."

Each project highlighted Mat's tenacious presence in front of the lens and Xavier's detailed approach to all aspects of the film process. But last season, a few more curveballs were thrown into the mix than normal, and the pair were left wondering what they could make out of this frustrating ski season.

Despite a mix of issues from injury to spot holdups and more, they didn't stop grinding, and the resulting project is a testament to the brutal trials that street skiing entails. "Seasons" is short and sweet, leaving you wanting more, as it delivers a staggering effort from Mat as he makes light work of more than a few features around Quebec. His style is second to none, and his work ethic is clearly on another planet. Hopefully, we'll be seeing more from these two as the season rolls on.

"Mat and I filmed together for “MTL”, “MTL2” and “Word to the Wise”. 3 consecutive seasons that were rather similar. No injuries, not many spot failures, kickouts or gear issues. Smooth sailing.

This season was different… knee injury for Mat to start off the season, spot failures, getting kicked out, gear issues… it was a tough one.
