Competition is natural in the wide world of skiing. Sponsors only have so much money, and it can be a battle to decide who gets the contracts that these professional skiers depend on for their livelihoods. For Jackie Paaso and Elyse Saugstad, a competition over one contract could mean the end of their friendship. All these new mothers have to do is show that there’s no reason having a kid means you have to hang up the skis. They just have to prove who can do it better.

This hilarious movie is easily one of the best we’ve seen all around. Ripping skiing and great acting go hand-in-hand. Sometimes script-centered ski films can seem overly cheesy, but truthfully this one is awesome. Plus, who knew Cody Townsend and Reine Barkered make for epic supporting cast members? While it is a comedic flick, we do get a sense of real commentary on monetary competition in the ski world and how motherhood is often viewed as a hindrance. In reality, Paaso and Saugstad show us that having a kid doesn’t mean you have to put anything on hold. You can still kick ass as a big mountain skier, be a great mother AND make a film.
