Burnout is a human emotion, and pro skiers are no exception to this rollercoaster of the mind. Even the best of them feel it. Alex "Army" Armstrong has skied lines most of us dream about. She's been in magazines and films, traveled the globe and become one of the most notable faces in freeride. But even for Army, burnout is far from avoidable.

That's the focal point of "Slipstream," a detailed short film from Armstrong and friends that explores the pitfalls of the constant grind. The weight grows and no matter how good your day job is, that feeling of exhaustion is rather unavoidable. But this isn't a story of someone who rolled over. This is about perseverance and rediscovering joy through community, friendship and the joy of sliding on snow. With remarkable cinematography and sound design, "Slipstream" is the reset you needed.

From YouTube:

Slipstream is a 5-minute visual storytelling film that grapples with the weight of burnout. Through stunning imagery and raw emotion, skiing serves as a vehicle for skier Alex Armstrong to explore the pressures of high-level performance and the rediscovery of joy through fun, connection, and community—ultimately revealing that passion thrives when shared.
