Freeskier magazine is looking for a senior-level editor to join the Freeskier team in Boulder, Colorado.

This editor will write stories for print and web, and edit stories produced by freelancers and other members of the in-house editorial team. This position will also be responsible for research and copyediting, as well as editorial strategy.

This senior-level editor will help guide the editorial team—in conjunction with managing editor and photo editor—through the entire magazine editorial process, from planning to execution.

Freeskier’s office is a small, high-energy, creative environment. Candidates must be motivated by tight deadlines, the creative process and the world of magazine media. Most of all, candidates must love skiing and carry vast knowledge about the people, gear and locations that fuel the sport.

Job requirements:

• BA degree in journalism preferred but not required

• Proven skills and experience in managing, writing and editing

• In-depth knowledge of skiing a must

• Must have strong, proven leadership skills

• Please provide published writing samples

Salary: TBD based on experience
Hours: 40 hours a week, full-time. In-house position
Location: Boulder, CO
