Back for its second year, Girl Winter is kicking off their 2026 film tour Thursday, September 24, in Salt Lake City. The tour is celebrating women in sports and shows that skiing like a girl is pretty badass. Inspired by the infamous “girl dinner” us ladies all love, this tour showcases a diverse range of ski films that help satiate all those cravings we get from the chaotic spread of ski content while getting us hyped for the winter season ahead.
Not everyone is built the same, especially women, but that’s what makes these films so unique. You don’t need to be a professional athlete or win every competition to be an impressive skier or reach your goals; you need confident, inspired, driven women who are all passionate and support each other in a sport that has historically put them in a box.
From steep freeride faces to celebrating every woman's role in the ski industry, Girl Winter has five films showing on their 2026 tour that are not only action-packed, but also filled with the friendships and everyday humor that make skiing so special.

Winter Elements

Instead of making a ski film all about professional skiers, Winter Elements gives everyday working women the same pedestal as elite athletes. From ski racers and freeriders to ski patrollers each woman, no matter their rank or role, plays a vital part in the ski industry and it's success.

We’ve all seen it: a ski movie with an epic opening sequence of people jumping off cliffs or straightlining a crazy chute, but we rarely see the unique quirks that make up each person in the movie . It's easy, as a society, to associate a professional skier's identity with their skiing, but in reality, these people are still human, even if we see them as superhumans. They all have personalities and emotions that give them their identity, and that is what makes the skiing community so special: Not just epic skiing, but people from different backgrounds with different personalities who can come together and obsess over two planks of wood and snow from season to season.

Biscuits
When you're passionate about something, it can be hard to accept anything but perfection. Biscuits shows us that celebrating failure isn’t a weakness but rather a step toward growth and freedom. From the Selkirks to the Coast Mountain range, freeride skiers Nat Segal and Erin Spong search for the powdery biscuits we all seek in the mountains while confronting their personal monsters to keep moving forward and progressing. They don’t do this alone, though; the two each bring unique backgrounds and perspectives, along with some humor that helps them move forward and take on all the challenges, fails. and successes with a smile on their face.

Theory of Butter

“Butta” makes everything better, especially when it’s in the form of snow. Analise Gates and Maddie Gerritsen, known as the Butta Dawgs, set forth on a backcountry mission to find those little pockets of ‘Butta’ that bring us skiers pure bliss and joy. But finding ‘Butta’ isn’t always easy; the girls discover the true spirit of adventure through bikes, rafts, skis, and a whole lotta grit.

Rapid Fire

Mali Noyes is the true definition of “Rapid Fire” in this film, as she not only conquers 93 lines of Utah’s Chuting Gallery in 47 days but also directed the film herself. Noyes follows Andrew McLean’s iconic guide to steep skiing in the Wasatch Range and sets new speed records. Throughout the journey, she gets real about the risk, cumulative fatigue, and community that makes endeavors like this possible.
