It's been one of those winters where the majority of us in the western United States have had to make a lot of lemonade. Mother Nature is a fickle beast and our sport is ultimately at her mercy, but Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) has fared far better than most other ski resorts this side of the Mississippi. With 284 inches of snow this season, so far, Jackson is leading the total snowfall charge, with Whistler being the next closest with 255 inches. It's going to be a guaranteed, boot-stomping good time come spring, especially once Jackson Hole's Rendezvous Music Festival kicks off on March 28. Who doesn't love skiing all day in the warm sun and going straight into a night of award-winning musical performances? It's the ultimate spring break for any ski bum and music lover.
This year's show celebrates Jackson Hole Mountain Resort's 60th season with one night of music immersed in the magnificent Teton energy. As part of the Road to Rendezvous, hip hop group Souls of Mischief grabs the mic on March 27th, underneath the Tram at the base of the ski resort, for a free show for everyone to enjoy. After skiing soft and slushy bumps on the hill all day, slide that rhythm right down to the base for an extended dose of dopamine.
The spring party vibes carry over into March 28th for the main show, opening with DJ Blake Horstmann before Umphrey's McGee jams their way onto the stage to welcome on the Grammy-winning headliner, The Flaming Lips. Known for their live performances, The Flaming Lips are bringing their wild and artistic energy to Jackson Hole and the anticipation is palpable.
"The Flaming Lips are often described as one of the best live acts on the planet," says Vice of the psychedelic rock band. "The best live band in the world, bar none," adds The Times (UK).
To prepare for the show, JHMR has curated a Rendezvous Music Festival playlist for your listening pleasure. Stocked with over 60 songs from the 2026 artists, this playlist is sure to get your dancing legs in romping shape before the big show.

To sweeten the spring ski package, Jackson Hole Resort Lodging offers the Rendezvous Stay & Play package where you can get 10% off your stay when you book 3–5 nights, plus complimentary Rendezvous Fest General Admission concert tickets (subject to availability). Additionally, the 50% off Golden Ticket deal is back for skiers with a season pass anywhere else to purchase lift tickets for up to 50% off, valid March 16-April 12, and the opportunity to save $500 per person on airfare (up to four people per family) ends soon. The offer is eligible for anyone who books roundtrip flights, lodging and qualifying activities like skiing through Jackson Hole Resort Reservations.
New this year, General Admission tickets are now for sale, rather than free, and along with the VIP tickets are limited and sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Also new this year—kids are welcome free for the 2026 show. Bring two children under 12 per General Admission ticket, and one child under 5 per VIP ticket for an affordable night of fun for the whole family.
