My wife, sister and I just hit up Mt. Ashland in Southern Oregon on Monday the 31st. It was nice. That mountain is small, but served up some goods. It was cold 12 degrees. Nice skweeky snow and not much ice, accept in the rut of the bumps. Skied the 2nd Chute in the bowl, stuck far skiers left and got great snow, hugged the skiers left through the bottom and got fresh turns about a foot deep. Upper Winter trees off of the Arial Chair were great too. I even found a small 3, 1 foot drops, pillow line! OH YEAH! Oh, south side has some good early morning turns, then it got thick. Anyhow, I haven"â„¢t been there in like 6 years, so it was fun to visit the mountain I grew up on. It"â„¢s small though. I used to think it was big. Then I moved to Tahoe, then I went heli-skiing. Now Ashland is small, but still super fun.
