No Snow, No Problem - Candide Thovex Skis Les Tufs

After watching this cut, I don't want to hear anyone else say, "tHerE iS No gOod sNow, so I caN't sKi." In classic Candide fashion, the flying Frenchman eyed up a menacing wall of dirt and snow, with massive rocky spines protruding downhill, and decided it would make for a few spicy lines.

"Les Tufs" is his first full part in years. Coming in at nearly five minutes long, the video dwarfs many of his recent projects. He's dropped plenty of beautiful shorts on YouTube, including this mind-altering session at l’ Aiguille percée, in Tignes, France. But to find something longer, we have to go back nearly four years to these park laps in Crans-Montana.

Perhaps he took time off after this 53-meter overshoot... though he somehow skied away. Or maybe he's just been obsessed with skiing Les Tufs for so long that this is where his focus has been directed. Then again, it's Candide, so this could have just been a weekend project. We're just happy for more content that makes us re-evaluate skiing as we know it. Check out the full feature below.
