Summer X Games is back for 2026 and bigger than ever with the debut of the new global, multi-stop MoonPay X Games League (XGL). As the world's first year-round, team-based, co-ed league in action sports, XGL comprises eight clubs: four for winter X Games and four for summer. Each X Games Club consists of 10 athletes from all around the world, representing different X Games sports. For winter, it's skiing and snowboarding and for summer, it's skateboarding (street, park and vert) and BMX (men's street, park and men's dirt). Athletes compete for their clubs across three stops each season to earn points for the championship title. Moto X is still part of the traditional Summer X Games lineup, but is not yet part of the XGL extension.
Set to kick off in Sacramento, California, on June 26-28, this year's summer X Games is coming in hot with a whole new level of energy and motivation. In addition to existing X Games prize money, XGL club athletes have the chance to win even more.
"Every X Games pushes action sports to another level, but this one feels different,” says X Games skateboarding legend Nyjah Huston in a recent press release. “With the league format and so many athletes competing in multiple events, the pressure is higher and the opportunities are bigger, so I’m coming in focused on putting down my best runs and going for gold. The level right now is insane — you have to bring your absolute best if you want to be on that podium.”
For three exciting days, the most elite athletes in skateboarding, BMX and Moto X will deliver a whole new level of competition and rivalries, with multiple records in reach and a field that blends all-time greats with action sports' rising stars. But in true X Games fashion, this is not just a sporting competition. It's a full-blown festival with musical performances from top headliners Kaskade, Mustard and Subtronics.
Tickets for MoonPay X Games Sacramento 2026 are on sale now, while supplies last. For fans looking to elevate their experience, limited premium hospitality packages are also available.
