As a Northstar-at-Tahoe local, this newcomer"”he"™s only been freeskiing for about a year"”enjoys nothing more than riding on his K2 Silencers and learning new tricks. Based on the pictures he submitted, it"™s pretty obvious he"™s a natural.
He"™s off to a great start! Ashley Battersby handpicked him herself to be the new winner. That"™s amazing! Props to Alexei for proving that dedication really does pay off. And, while Alexei isn"™t out to mimic anyone, he definitely looks up to TJ Schiller, who is apparently "the man", and he also admires the talented Simon Dumont, Tanner Hall, and Colby West. But, of course!
Alexei is already back at it for the season, planning his new conquests: misty 5"™s, rodeos, switch cab 9"™s, and 270"™s on and off rails. Spending more time in the backcountry and ripping big mountain powder are also on his agenda for the 2008-09 season. Basically, this crazy ninja is going to master his kung fu"¦if you catch my drift. He has big dreams of becoming "a respectable freeskiing icon." Sounds like he"™s got his eye on the prize. Wait, didn"™t he already win a sweet prize?
