Skiing is filled with nuance, and that detail is amplified in every way when pushing yourself in the Backcountry. From personal relationships to mental fortitude, from risk mitigation to gear knowledge, every part of the journey requires attention. "Subtle," from Celeste Pomerantz and Delilah Cupp, offers us a look at exactly this, capturing the two friends as they journey through the backcountry, and all the ups and downs that come along.

This dynamic duo is one we were excited to watch in a feature film ever since word of the project first leaked. Their friendship and camaraderie in the mountains serve as the focal point of this movie, but don't let it take away from the fact that there is some stellar skiing going on here. These two put in serious legwork in search of steep lines and bountiful pillows from the Cascade Mountains to British Columbia. No, they can't drift a Subaru. But yes, they can shred.

Behind the lens, Edward Clem worked his magic, as we saw in last year's "ZORRO." Editing from Cupp and Peter Kaiser completes the visually stunning package that makes up the film. Dim the lights and dial in to this feel-good project.
