Colorado Powder Forecast for week of Dec. 9
HIGHLIGHTS
Heavy snow Friday night & Saturday AM
Storm targets northern 2/3rds of Colorado
Possible snow Sat PM & Sunday, too
As expected, a storm dropped some powder on Colorado on Monday. A few areas received MUCH more snow than I expected, though, as Vail, Loveland, Breckenridge, and Copper reported 13-16″ which made Tuesday a memorable day.
Another memorable day is on tap for Saturday after heavy snow will dump on areas along and north of I-70 on Friday night. With clouds keeping temperatures down on Thursday and Friday, even south-facing slopes should stay soft and ready to receive around a foot of new snow by early Saturday.
If we’re lucky, and you do your special snow dance, we could even see snow continue on Saturday into Sunday, though this is hard to pin down right now. The deepest snow this weekend will likely be at Steamboat which could be sneakily good, even on Sunday.
